FAQs
How can we be sure you’re the right chef for us?
Trust and rapport are vital for a harmonious and effective working relationship in a private household or holiday home. I carry out my duties with the utmost discretion and professionalism, meeting the high standards you would expect from your own staff or anyone working in your personal environment.
For first-time clients, I offer a detailed video call to discuss your needs. For long-term engagements, I can also arrange an in-person meeting at your property. Additionally, you are welcome to browse my reviews page, where past clients and employers have shared their experiences of working with me.
What does a private chef cost?
There is no straightforward answer to this question, as each private chef calculates their fees differently, and the needs of clients and events can vary significantly. My fee consists of several elements: a daily rate based on the number of guests and courses (chef’s fee), the cost of ingredients, travel expenses to your location (calculated per kilometre), and, if required, the cost of additional support staff.
For larger events, pricing is tailored to your specific needs, and I offer discounts for multi-day bookings. All quotes are inclusive of Spanish VAT - 10% for private chef and catering services. Naturally, you will receive a clear and detailed proposal upon request.
How many people do you cook for?
I usually cook for 4 - 12 people, but up to 20 people are possible depending on your requirements. Depending on the menu and event, service staff can also be brought along at an extra charge.
Do you work across the island?
Yes, I offer my services island-wide. However, if your property is located a considerable distance from my starting point or if my schedule is particularly busy, I may need to assess whether I can accommodate your request. In any case, a travel fee will apply, which will be clearly outlined in the quote provided.
Do we, as clients, always need to be present while you work for us?
Not necessarily. Long-standing clients with whom I have built a strong relationship of trust are welcome to leave me to work independently when needed.
Which payment methods do you accept?
I accept bank transfer, Bizum, Paypal and cash.
Terms of Payment and Cancellations
To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% of the chef’s fee is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable on the day of the event.
Cancellations are accepted up to two days before the event, with midnight as the deadline. For cancellations made after this point, half of the deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee to cover short-notice adjustments.
I strive to offer as much flexibility as possible while maintaining fairness to all parties. If you have any questions or specific circumstances, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
